Hajra Girls Jr. College . The modern building of the college is built in a location in the suburban city of Mumbai. It will be an institution that the students and parents of Mira road would like to associate with in the years to come. We seek to establish our college to be one of the premier educational institutions of Mumbai, serving the educational needs of the students in and around. We shall carve a niche for ourselves for producing meritorious students who are imparted with systematic and high level education.
We as an institution are involved in providing the best quality education for a strong nation to be formed, a strong human capital required as a base. We are pursuing to provide an education system that fosters thinking of social responsibility for muslim girls.
Our managing director Mr.Khalid Khan established St. Haris High School & Hajra Girls Jr. College at Mira Road (E), Mumbai - 401107 an college in an Islamic environment. It proved to be successful experiment of balanced approach to modern and religious education under his able supervision.
The college attempts to create a challenging teaching and learning environment that shall equip our students with the right knowledge and skills required to face the modern day challenges in the highly competitive and globalised environment. St. Haris High School & Hajra Girls Jr. College is preserving and highlighting the core values of our culture and Islamic tenets.  St. Haris High School is founded, promoted and developed by Managing Director Mr. Khalid Khan, an educationist, Ex-Indian Air Force Officer. He took premature retirement at the young age of 32 and dedicated himself to educationally uplift the Muslim Community. Before stepping into the field of education, he surveyed methods of education worldwide. He visited several schools and colleges around the world and interacted with experts in education to understand their approach towards modern schooling particularly with Islamic Education, Curriculum etc. Finally, he succeeded in striking a balance between modern and religious education by applying all modern teaching techniques to make students successful in this world as well as in the Aakhirah (Hereafter).
St. Haris High School strives to achieve excellence in all areas – academic, co-curricular, social justice, emotional and spiritual development in an Islamic environment, to be successful in both the worlds. Situated in the heart of Mumbai, St. Haris High School hold pride in the fact the school has a student population of approximately 1800 from Kindergarten to class 12 and a highly qualified staff, who explore excellence in the field of education, sports, crafts etc.
St. Haris High School is known for balanced approach to modern and religious education in an Islamic environment. Congregational prayers (Salah) offered daily in the school by the students. Children are encouraged to learn and inculcate proper Islamic Etiquette. Islamic Study gives complete and proper concept of Islam and student are taught about Shahadah, Imaan, Fast, Haj, Zakat. Day to Day Masnoon Duas are also taught and put into practice. Special emphasis on Huqooq-ul-Ibad (People’s rights on each other. Greet every one with Salam. Scarf is compulsory for teachers and Girl Students from Std. I onwards. Separate Education for Girls and Boys. Girls (I-X) come in the morning shift and boys (I-X) come to school in the afternoon shift. Nazra Qur’an is taught to the students from Std. I to V.
Teaching – Learning process is not complete unless behavior changes. Therefore, we emphasize that whatever is taught, it must be put into practice and applied in life. The teaching methodology of our school aims for age-appropriate learning, to ensure that the student is not under stress and practices of the curriculum are student-friendly. A healthy competition is encouraged amongst the students of the same class by way of allotting 4 different houses. We aim that all our students have equal opportunity for participation, nomination and exposure. We believe in 100% participation of students in activities and events of the school. Every student is encouraged to explore his/her talents. It is our constant endeavour to provide an Islamic environment
